Sean Capone is an animation artist, projection muralist, motion-capture performer and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. He received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sean is a 2020 NYSCA/NYFA Fellow in Digital/Electronic Art. His writings and interviews on the subject of animation art appear regularly in BOMB Magazine, and he has curated several screening programs of animation and video art presented in galleries and online. Sean's moving image-based public artworks have been commissioned for ZAZ Corner Times Square, Penn State University, the Supernova Festival, Digital Graffiti Festival, 150 Media Stream, the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Biblical Art, and the SCAD Museum of Art.
’Street Spirits’ is a suite of three animations which were designed originally for the ZAZ10TS corner-screen LED billboard in Times Square, NYC, presented in February 2021.
